TMS at AusRAIL Plus 2022 – Show Wrap Up

For the first time in more than two years the highly anticipated AusRAIL Plus returned. Finishing up on Wednesday, it was a fantastic show with a great turn out of Rail, Infrastructure and Transport industry professionals.

TMS had so many new and exciting concepts and products to demonstrate and discuss. The Smart pi Ecosystem range including Audio Systems, Passenger Information Displays, Hearing Assistance, Help/Information Points and Acoustics Services. The show set up also included the Hyundai IT range of outdoor screens. These screens offer high luminance and high visibility outdoors, making them perfect for passenger information display. 

 

What was new at AusRAIL Plus 2022?

 

Smart pi ECOsystem

Smart pi Ecosystem is a modular, networked passenger information system that can be easily customised to the demands of railway operators. The Ecosystem combines high quality hardware and software technology solutions for pubic information audio, display and distribution.

 

Smart pi EYE

New in the Smart pi EYE range is Kiosk Mode, available with integrated RealTime Information. It is possible to import 3D models and add destinations and points of interest. Multi Agency Support also is available to be integrated into Smart pi EYE displays, allowing users to show multiple agency’s feeds in one screen. This can be more that just the one service type (for example bus, train and ferry).

 

Smart pi HLP

This product is a fully integrated help and information point that can include a Smart pi EYE display. They have the ability to contact a Network Operations Centre to talk with an operator or listen to automated information messages generated by Smart pi DVA. These are customisable and have 1 – 4 button versions available with a chassis that can be designed to meet design specifications. 

 

HYUNDAI IT

Smart pi solutions are able to incorporate the Hyundai IT range of industrial high quality outdoor screens. The Hyundai IT range offers a product design that assures convenient operation, management, and maintenance. They are IP65 rank suitable for outdoor environment and have ultra high luminance with high visibility even in direct sunlight. These screens are also vandal proof and offer circular polarisation so you can always see them even when wearing polarised sunglasses.

 

Smart pi LOG / EYE / DVA

Demonstrated at AusRAIL 2022 was the Speech to Text Integration module. Users of the system are able to log and archive audio content and display it on Smart pi EYE displays within 3 seconds, even for live announcements. This system involves Amazon Polly Integration with DVA Australian voice. This can include synthesised voices with Amazon Polly, multi-language support and it also has male and female voice options available.
